את תקופת החופש בנערותי בקייצים הייתי נוסע מרחק מספר שעות באוטובוסים לסמינר קיץ של חודש וחצי ברמת השרון
בית ספר רימון למוסיקה-ממלו ועמוס הדני מנהל עמיקם ועוד מלא מוסיקאים מעולים
עם זוג מקלות עץ מייפל אמריקאי מתופף על צלחות ושולחנות
נוסע באוטובוסים ונהנה מהמבורגר בדיזינגוף סנטר
גם בית ספר למקצועות הספרות היו בתפריט
שם היו מתלמדים על שיער ראשי
הייתי ילד טוב ונראה מטופח, לובש חולצות גלישה ומטייל לי להנאתי ברחובות העיר תל אביב
כאשר הייתי חוזר לשכונת האמנים בעיר צפת
נהנינו מקרבה לבריכת רימונים במלון בעיר העתיקה צפת
נהנינו לשחות ולשחק עם ילדי השכונה ואורחים
אדון כהן היה מגיע גם ורה ופאולה הולצמן השכנה עם המספר שקיבלה מהגרמנים, גם הגיעה הרבה
אריק מחכה החיות היה מפליא בשחייה דינאמית
משפחות השכנים ומציל וואחד ג׳אבר בשם עבד.(היה בודי בילדר ופריק שחייה וריצה)
לואיד המורה לאנגלית היה בכושר על ויחד עם עאבד היו רצים להם לפסגת הר מירון וחזרה,או סתם למצפה הימים וראש פינה ,ככה בקטנה
את החברות של אחותי הכי אהבתי להיות יחד
משחקי פינגפונג היו החביבים עליי במיוחד
צלילות ארוכות ומשחקי מים הילדים של מיסטר כהן או בשמו מיסייה כהן היו באים מפאריס לבקר את ההורים
שחייני על היו והם נהנו מחברת הבנות המקומיות
ברברה ואריאן היפות נהנו מחיזורי החתיכים
ימי שמש ארוכים עם מקלחות בחוץ וקריאה של ספרים בצל
מי שתמיד הפריעו את מנוחתנו בחופש בקיץ היו ילדים חרדים שמציתים מתוך שיעמום את הוואדי שלידנו
ומסביב לביתנו עשן תמיר ומכוניות מכבי אש היו פועלים שעות ארוכות למיגור הנזקים
אך הגינה הייתה נחרבת כל שנה בייחוד מסביב לבית שלנו
הבתים בכל השכונה היו מתמלאים עשן וריח הכביסה היה מתקלקל
וככככככווווולללללם התלוננו וקיטרו על כך שיש להפסיק התנהגות נוראית זו

The summers of Galil In the summers I would ride several hours by bus to a month-and-a-half-long summer seminar in Ramat Hasharon

Also a school for the hair dressers professions there were apprentices on my head & hair
I was a good boy and looked well-groomed, wearing surf shirts and walking the streets of Tel Aviv for pleasure
When I would return to the artists' neighborhood in the city of Safed
We enjoyed the proximity to a five stars Hotel pool in the Old City of Safed
We enjoyed swimming and playing with the neighborhood kids and guests
Mr. Cohen would also come Zipora ,Vera and Paula Holtzman neighbors with the number they received from the Germans,
also came a lot to swim
Eric whistle for the animals was amazing in dynamic swimming
Neighbors' families and a lifeguard and one big Jaber named Abed. (He was a body builder a swimming and running freak.)
Lloyd, the English teacher, was fit and together with Abed they would run to the top of Mount Meron and back, or to Mitzpe Hayamim and Rosh Pina, just like this Ping pong games were my particular favorite
Long dives and water games
The children of Mr. Cohen or by his name Monsieur Cohen would come from Paris to visit the parents
Great swimmers they were and they enjoyed the company of the local girls
The beautiful Barbara and Arian enjoyed the courtship of the studs
Long sunny days with showers outside And reading books in the shade
Those who always disturbed our time in the summer were yeshiva children who ignited with fire the wadi next to us and around our house ,out of boredom.smoke and fire fighters would work long hours to eradicate the damage
But the garden was destroyed every year especially around our house.The houses all over the neighborhood were filled with smoke and the smell of laundry was spoiling everyone was complaining and grumbling that this horrible behavior should be stopped.
